International Students
The only requirement for international students is that they must have a minimum of lower intermediate English. We work with each student to help them gain the qualifications they need. As a small College, our International students are fully integrated with New Zealand students. This helps everybody to become fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
We want the parents of our international students to be involved in the education of their young people, so we will send regular reports on their progress. Cullinane College offers a number of fantastic opportunities for our students to experience a great deal of New Zealand. Our students can take part in a variety of activities that allow them to increase their awareness of our unique Kiwi culture.
A great deal of the opportunities involve experiencing New Zealand’s outdoor lifestyle. Members of our staff enjoy this lifestyle themselves and bring their expertise to our students through trips ranging from bush tramps to skiing on Mt Ruapehu.
Our students also have the opportunity, if they choose, to experience the extreme sports for which New Zealand is world renowned. The opportunities at Cullinane College are not just limited to the outdoor lifestyle either. Many of our students have the chance to visit national museums, the New Zealand Government buildings in Wellington and have an overnight excursion to the Wellington Zoo.
Opportunities are limitless as our staff and wider community support our students both inside and outside the classroom. Our Homestay families have extended the classroom experiences for their students by taking them on family trips across the North Island and the South Island in order to give your students the best possible experience of New Zealand.
