Our mission is to nurture students to become cultured individuals of exemplary moral character. To this end, we provide an education drawn from the classics and the arts, one steeped in divinely inspired traditional values of the East and West.

It is an honor to introduce you to Northern Academy of the Arts. Our leadership team has been working with our outstanding faculty and staff to create a high-quality learning environment for our students. This is done by keeping abreast of current research topics and sustaining rigorous curricula.

We offer students a selection of artistic and academic learning paths. No matter which course of study your child chooses, know that the essence of the curricula is a foundation of classical elements combined with fresh ideas and research-based techniques. Our students receive an education that not only provides an accumulation of knowledge but also explores the core of their character.

Because of our mission to develop your children into well-rounded adults with high moral values, our faculty and staff are dedicated to instilling students with values of integrity, resilience, and compassion by demonstrating these principles through their actions and teaching methods. We already know our world benefits from students who are highly educated in academics, but we also believe human society is further enriched when these young adults can think critically, express compassion and engage in all aspects of their lives with high moral values. About Us

Northern Academy of the Arts is nestled in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York. We are a high school and middle school serving students in grades 6 to12. We nurture strength of character alongside academic excellence, while helping students master the skills, the discipline, and the confidence they need to be successful in college and in life.

We take building character very seriously. For children and teenagers who are growing every day, the time is now to lay a solid foundation of virtuous habits and values that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Students at Northern Academy receive a rigorous, top-tier education that imbues a philosophy of lifelong learning. We maintain an average classroom teacher-student ratio of 1:10 and provide an individualized education that is flexible and responsive. We believe this helps many of our students achieve above average SAT scores.

Just as the ancient philosophers believed, modern studies have found that teaching the arts in schools can have a profound effect on young minds. The arts produce a greater sense of enjoyment and fulfillment in students, enhance their communication skills and self-confidence, and make the school culture feel more positive and adventurous.
