Key 2 Learning Courses

 

Key 2 Learning College is one of Australia’s leading provider of aged care and community services vocational education in Australia. We have been established since 2009 and we are the trainer of choice for many aged care and community services organisations. Our trainers are registered nurses with exceptional experience in aged care and community services. We take exceptional care of our international students and support them all the way in the successful completion of their studies. Our college is highly regarded and has recently been asked to delivery aged care and community services courses in Vietnam to Australian standards.

We offer the Health and Community Services programme is a 2 year programme covering the following courses;

Certificate III in Individual Support (6 months)
Certificate IV in Aging Support (6 months)
Diploma of Community Services (12 months) or Diploma of Nursing (subject to approval by ANMAC – expected by end of 2019 – duration 18 months).

This programme is designed to provide students with a pathway into aged care, disability services and community services. These are some of the fastest growing industry sectors in Australia and are estimated to generate at least 25% of all jobs in Australia. As part of these courses we provide students with work placements (usually around 1 month) with leading aged care facilities. The work placements are an opportunity for the student to demonstrate their skills, expertise and attitude and might lead to the offering of a part time employment (20 hours a week while student is studying) for selected students.

What differentiate our college is that we are a genuine college interested in providing students with a genuine education that might lead to them getting employment in their field of study. We provide genuine work placement opportunities for the students with leading aged care organisations. We also have a consultancy and recruitment company dedicated to support the aged care sector. We also have articulation pathways with leading Australian universities which offer up to 1 year credit towards a Bachelor of Social Works or Bachelor of Human Services. We have over 90% success of employment outcomes for our graduates.

We only accept genuine students with either nursing or social work backgrounds that genuine want to study aged care in Australia. We will accept Year 12 students provided they have a strong academic record and have genuine interest in aged care.

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support

This course covers a range of core unit competencies including providing individualised support, recognising healthy body systems, facilitating the empowerment of older people, supporting relationships with carers and families, providing first aid and meeting personal support needs.

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

Love helping people? Make a rewarding career out of it! Embrace one of Australia’s fastest growing sectors, and help yourself to help others, with a nationally recognised CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

This course covers a range of core unit competencies including facilitating the interests and rights of clients, facilitating the empowerment of older people, implementing falls prevention strategies, coordinating services for older people, providing loss and grief support, supporting relationships with carers and families and delivering care services using a palliative approach.

 

CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services

This course will allow you to develop the skills required to help make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of others and support the community. Learn to coordinate, manage and deliver services and programs to individuals, groups and communities in need.

ICT50415 Diploma of Information Technology Networking

The ICT50415 Diploma of Information Technology Networking provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks, including inter-networking, security and e-business integration.

 

ICT30115 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user.
Persons working at this level will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications and digital media technologies.
