  • In the last academic year (2017/18), we provided academic, vocational and professional courses across 20 curriculum areas to around 13,318 students and Apprentices. We have approximately 1,500 members of staff

  • We offer more than 700 qualifications including Apprenticeships, vocational diplomas, A Levels, Access to Higher Education courses, and Foundation and Honours degrees

  • We have four main campuses: City, Hillsborough, Olive Grove and Peaks and also runs classes at our Fir Vale and Eyre Street centres

  • We work with around 1,800 employers, and have approximately £321 million economic impact on the city annually (according to research by EMSI)

  • Of that, approximately £284.3 million comes from the accumulated contribution of former students currently employed in the regional workforce

  • In the last academic year (2017/18), around 5,016 of our students were full-time and aged 16-18; 5,645 were adults aged 19-plus; 2,624 were apprentices; and 33 were aged 14 -16

  • We work with over 1,250 employers on approximately 138 Apprenticeship programmes. Of our 2,624 Apprentices training with us in 2017/18, 1,660 were adults and 964 were aged 16-18

  • In the last academic year (2017/18), around 396 students were studying access courses with us, which are one-year qualifications to progress onto university level courses

  • In the last academic year (2017/18), around 512 students were completing university level courses with us. Of those, 446 were studying full-time and 66 students were part-time
